The Community Centre is available for hire. Current usage is as indicated in the table below. If you have any queries regarding any of the activities shown, or if you are interested in hiring the Centre to run a club/group or to hold a private function/event then please contact:

Summary of Community Centre Facilities:

  • Hall is heated.

  • Kitchen has fridge, hob, oven and microwave & serving hatch to main hall.

  • Hall can hold up to approximately 150 people. 

  • There are 9 round tables to seat 4/5 people and 1 long trestle table.

  • Approximately 60 chairs are available for seating.

  • Hall is fitted with a noise limiter which means that the electricity supply is cut off if the sound exceeds the level deemed acceptable for the hall’s residential location.

Hiring costs:

Deposit: £100 with booking

Hire Charges (must be paid 2 weeks before hire starts or hire will be cancelled):

Members of Enfield Island Village Residents' Association, including L&Q, Presentation and RSA IV residential tenants:

£50 first 2 hours; £15 per additional hour.

Uss of kitchen an additional £5 per hour.

Non-Residential or Commercial Hire:

£100 first 2 hours; £30 per additional hour.

Use of kitchen an additional £5 per hour.

Community Centre booking proforma and conditions of hire

Information for Hirers:

  • If the management/caretaker receive complaints about noise, illegal parking or disturbance to the area around the community centre, the management reserves the right to withhold the deposit in its entirety. The area is under surveillance by CCTV. The police or environmental health will be called to deal with any public disturbance and noise.

  • A noise limiter is fitted which will cut off electrical supply if the noise level exceed predefined limits.

  • You must close all windows and doors at the end of the hire.

  • You must leave the hall, including kitchen and toilets tidy and wash up any items you have used in the kitchen.

  • You must not leave any signs or posters displayed after your hire.

  • Due care and attention must be taken so that equipment and property in the community centre is not damaged.

  • Out of consideration for local residents, on Saturday, all noise must cease by 11pm and the hall must be vacated by 11.30pm. On all other days noise must cease by 10pm and the hall must be vacated by 10.30pm.

Enfield Council operates an out-of-hours noise complaints service. The Service is available between the hours of:

2100 Sunday to 0300 Monday
